Published 11:00 pm Friday, July 26, 2013 The Humane Society of Pike County’s 6th Annual Pet Photo Contest is underway and all pet owners are encouraged to become shutterbugs and capture their pets at their cutest, cuddliest or most coy.“For five years, we have had great participation in our Pet Photo Contest and hopes are that this will be our best ever,” said Lisa Howard, contest co-coordinator. “The Pet Photo Contest is the major fundraiser for the Humane Society of Pike County. All proceeds from this event will go to support the countywide spay/neuter program, the feral cat program, education program and families in need program. So we need and appreciate the support of our community.”The winner of the Pet Photo Contest will be featured on the cover of the humane society’s 2014 Pet Photo Calendar. In addition to the cover winner, there will be a winner for each month and each week of the year.
